scope of services
All of our work—whether rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Functional Medicine, coaching, or energy-based practices—is designed to support your body’s natural ability to heal. While we may recommend lifestyle adjustments, herbal formulas or supplement protocols, our services are not a replacement for primary medical care and we do not diagnose or treat disease.
You agree to maintain care with a licensed Primary Care Provider (PCP) and to inform them of any recommendations or suggestions resulting from our work together that you choose to pursue. Our work is meant to be collaborative, integrative, and deeply respectful of your full medical picture.
If we feel your needs would be better served elsewhere, we will refer you to an appropriate provider.
client location & licensing
Services are provided under a health education and coaching model. We do not prescribe, diagnose, or offer regulated medical services across state or national lines.
tele-health & remote sessions
Our work happens remotely via video, phone, and/or online platforms. By scheduling services, you consent to participate in tele-health style sessions and group meetings such as on Zoom and acknowledge the inherent limitations of these platforms.
All sessions are co-creative and participatory—you may decline any recommendation at any time.
appointment changes & cancellations
We kindly request a minimum of 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule any session. Cancellations within 48 hours or no-shows will be charged the full session fee. This policy honors the time and preparation of both practitioner and client.
payment & refund policy
Payment is due at the time of booking unless part of a membership or package. We accept most major credit cards. Prepaid services that are canceled at least 48 hours in advance may be refunded or rescheduled. There are no refunds for services already delivered.
Package Plans: If you purchase a package and choose not to complete all sessions, unused portions may be refunded based on full individual session rates for those already used.
Labs & Supplements: These are non-refundable as they are fulfilled through third-party vendors. Please order only what you intend to use.
extended sessions & overages
If your session extends beyond the scheduled time, you will be offered the option to continue, and will then be billed in 15-minute increments at a prorated rate. This allows us to honor your process while maintaining time boundaries for all clients.
health & medication policy
Higher Level Health (& Life) does not prescribe or adjust medications. If your goal is to reduce or eliminate medication, we can support you in creating a plan to improve your health markers—but any changes to prescriptions must be made in collaboration with your prescribing physician.
pandemic & public health policy
If in-person services or events are offered, all current public health guidelines will be followed. You agree to not attend in-person sessions if experiencing symptoms of illness, have tested positive for a communicable condition, or have had known exposure within the prior 7 days.
emergency policy
Our services are not a replacement for emergency or urgent care. In case of emergency, please call 911 or go to your nearest urgent care facility.
photo, testimonial & media release
We love sharing client wins! By submitting a review or providing verbal/written praise, you grant Higher Level Health (& Life) permission to use these testimonials in marketing (website, social media, etc). No identifying information will be used without your explicit written permission.
updates to policies
We may update these policies as needed. The most current version will always be available on our website and/or member portal. Continued engagement with services implies consent to any updates.
